Conference Publications

The papers must report original, previously unpublished findings. Papers must be written in good English and should clearly state the purpose of the work and include: an introduction, methodology, results and main conclusions. A single paper's length should be between 6-12 pages. For book chapters, text volume should extend to 20 pages. The Organizer will systematically check all papers on plagiarism and as a result, will refuse deficient papers for publication. Papers that are refused because out of scope or suspected of plagiarism will be charged to the author in full of the agreed price.

 

Papers submitted to the call, accepted by the Scientific Committee and presented during the conference will be published in an open access scheme in one of the following form:

 

I. As a paper published in one of the below listed scientific journals:

  1. Sustainability [Special Issue 2020: "Advanced Liquid Waste and Gas Waste Treatment Processes (IF 2,592, MNiSW list 70 p.);
  2. Transport Problems (MNiSW list 70 p.);
  3. Archives of Environmental Protection (IF 1,689, MNiSW list 100 p.);
  4. Scientific Journals of the Maritime University of Szczecin (MNiSW list 20 p.);

 

II. As a book chapter in the monography published in one of the following Publishing:

  1. University of Gdansk Press (MNiSW 100 p.);
  2. Routledge Taylor & Francis Group (MNiSW 200 p.);

 

The University of Gdańsk Press monograph should focus on the general marine governance and maritime industry, most important economic, environmental, legal and technological aspects which might have an important impact on the future dimension of the market.

 

The Routledge Taylor & Francis Group monograph should focus on the circulating economic process and maritime circular economy elements. Since the global trend shows a significant development process towards the circular economy, the question for the shipping industry is, how can we or how should we participate in this global process. And what are the challenges for the sustainable growth in shipping.

 

Authors are cordially asked to choose one of the options – paper or book chapter and to declare by submitting the selected form. The decision of directing individual paper/chapter to the one of above listed option (journal/publishing) will be made by the Scientific Committee. General criteria of selected papers are:

  1. Quality of the paper;
  2. Thematic accordance;
  3. Number of slots agreed for the GlobMar 2020 with specific journals;

 

For economic, management & law related papers best suited is: Transport Problems. For environmental protection related papers best suited are: Sustainability and Archives of Environmental Protection. For marine technology best suited is Scientific Journals of the Maritime University of Szczecin.

 

Please keep in mind, that conference papers should be submitted to the Conference Organizers, not to the Publishing. Papers selected to the Sustainability – Special Issue track will receive appropriate instructions after the conference.

 

Monographs published by the University of Gdańsk Press have allocated 100 points. Individual point allocation depends on the authors input and affiliation.
